Talmage just earned his Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts. We are so proud of him. For those who are unfamiliar with the Cub Scout program the Arrow of Light is the highest award you can earn. It is one of two badges you can wear on your Boy Scout uniform from the Cub Scouts.
He also earned his Religious Knot the other day, which is the other badge you can wear from Cub Scouts. He put a lot of work into both of them. The Religious Knot is earned from completing several requirements in the Faith in God Program. He has been working on that since he was baptized two and a half years ago.
Great Job Talmage! We are so proud of you.

Way to go Talmage! Or should I say way to go MOM? ( : Hopefully he's had good leaders and has really learned some useful skills and experienced some internal growth. I'm sometimes frustrated with the scouting program and all the piddly awards they earn for doing next to nothing (depending on the leaders.) Sounds like he's really put some effort in and I hope he's had a good scouting experience so far.
Now that I'm involved in the cub scout program in our ward I realize how much work the boys (and leaders!) put into scouting - and the Arrow of Light is a big achievement. Good job Talmage! Sounds like he's on his way to become an Eagle scout :)
